About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Business Immigration Attorney with at least 4 - 5 years of specialized experience in employment-based and corporate immigration law. This role demands a detail-oriented legal professional with advanced skills in legal research, writing, and case strategy. The ideal candidate will manage complex immigration matters for corporate clients, investors, and skilled professionals, bringing both legal expertise and strategic insight to the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth legal research on U.S. immigration laws, regulations, and compliance requirements affecting businesses and foreign nationals.
- Advise corporate clients on employment-based immigration processes, including H-1B, L-1, O-1, EB-1, EB-2, EB-5, PERM, and I-9 compliance.
- Draft and file a wide range of legal documents such as petitions, motions, PERM applications, waivers, and appeals.
- Collaborate with HR teams and internal stakeholders to develop immigration strategies aligned with business needs.
- Represent clients in USCIS interviews, administrative hearings, and other immigration-related proceedings.
- Supervise and delegate work to paralegals and legal support staff to ensure timely and accurate case management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration laws, USCIS policies, and DOL regulations to ensure compliance and proactive client advising.
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 4 - 5 years of experience in business immigration law, specifically employment-based immigration.
- Proven expertise in drafting persuasive and technically accurate legal documents.
- Strong experience advising corporate clients and handling high-volume immigration caseloads.
- Exceptional legal writing, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective client engagement.
- Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative, fast-paced legal environment.
- Language proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
Work Environment & Flexibility
- Hybrid Schedule: Typically, 3-4 days in office, 1-2 day remote.
- Relocation to Fall River, MA is required before start date.
