We are currently seeking a Business Analyst/Systems Tester as part of an ongoing contract in Silver Spring, MD. This is a full-time, remote role AFTER TRAINING.

The successful candidate will receive a contingent offer based on the outcome of a government background check. This may take several weeks, and the candidate cannot begin actual employment until the background check is successfully completed.
This role involves analyzing business processes, capturing and documenting requirements, and ensuring application functionality through comprehensive testing. The Business Analyst/Systems Tester will be responsible for understanding client needs, creating functional specifications, and ensuring application functionality aligns with business objectives. The candidate will also play a key role in testing processes, identifying defects, and facilitating user acceptance testing.
Primary Duties:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
- Develop functional design documentation, process workflows, and use cases.
- Create and execute application test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform system testing and document defects using a defect-tracking tool.
- Manage user acceptance testing and support stakeholders during the testing phase.
- Translate business needs into clear technical requirements.
- Provide workflow-related support and troubleshoot issues within ServiceNow applications.
- Maintain and update documentation for both new and existing projects.
Qualifications include:
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in business analysis and application testing.
- Proficiency in documenting requirements, generating traceability matrices, and creating workflows.
- Demonstrated experience with defect tracking tools and test management.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience supporting ServiceNow applications is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred certifications/education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Certifications in Business Analysis or Quality Assurance are a plus.
