Job Summary: The Front Medical Office Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the medical office. This role is essential in maintaining an organized and efficient environment, facilitating communication between patients, healthcare providers, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Reception: Greet patients and visitors warmly, assisting with check-in and check-out processes.
- Scheduling: Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and reminders to optimize provider schedules.
- Patient Records: Maintain accurate patient records, including electronic health records (EHR) management, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Insurance Verification: Conduct insurance verification and eligibility checks, providing patients with information regarding coverage and out-of-pocket costs.
- Billing and Collections: Assist with billing inquiries, process payments, and manage outstanding accounts.
- Communication: Facilitate communication between patients and medical staff, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Office Management: Maintain a clean and organized front office environment, including managing supplies and equipment.
- Data Entry: Accurately enter and update patient information into the database, ensuring data integrity.
- Support Staff: Assist clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed to improve workflow efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
