About The Opportunity

Reporting directly to our CEO, the Senior Manager / Director of Warehouse Operations oversees the day-to-day logistics and fulfillment operations and will be based in our Waupaca, Wisconsin flagship location. The role will manage through site leadership to coach, lead, and manage the performance of a crew of individual contributors. The Senior Manager / Director of Warehouse Operations will be required to develop and influence relationships, drive productivity, streamline processes, and achieve business results allowing RE.VOLVS to achieve both our financial and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Effectively lead and manage the operation including individual contributors and partners with a focus on doing “what it takes” to execute in support of our business priorities.
  • Ability to lead by example daily and “roll up your sleeves” to get the job done whenever duty may call.
  • Leverage available resources to develop scalable and efficient operational capabilities across our business.
  • Develop and implement effective space planning to improve our operational efficiencies to improve logistics and achieve business results at scale.
  • Collaborating with the team, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve root cause issues of business performance or process challenges assisting to remove barriers across our operations.
  • Hire, develop, and mentor individual crew members through performance management tactics including mentorship and coaching.
  • In conjunction with leadership, understand our vision for the Company and our mission to effectively enable our team members to operationalize our strategic objectives at scale.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships ensuring business goals are met through improved collaboration and communication across our team and business partners.
  • Ensure safety guidelines are always known and adhered to by all team members.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5 years of operations leadership experience in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
  • 3 years leading cross-functional, distributed teams.
  • Prior leadership experience managing dispersed teams across multiple sites including individual contributors and location leaders.
  • Experience in logistics operations, receiving, inventory storage and management, and customer fulfillment.
  • Detail-oriented and sound reasoning skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strategic, forward-thinking perspective and excellent business judgment.
  • A keen sense of foreseeing future challenges and solutioning in the near-term.
  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Experience in streamlining and automating operational procedures.
  • Ability to be onsite 5 days a week with limited flexibility and travel to various locations as required.
  • A strong desire to be a part of our growth story and a passion to make a difference in the communities and world we live in.
  • Deep knowledge of logistics and supply chain management, including transportation, distribution, warehouse operations, and customer service.
  • Background and experience working within or contracted with major Third-Party Logistics (3PL) warehousing or logistics providers in high-scale / high–volume environment.
  • Knowledge and experience leveraging technology platforms to support the business and get the job done!
  • Prior experience working for a non-profit and/or retail or distribution business a plus!

A Day in the Life

  • Manage all aspects of our warehouse operations including planning, scheduling, and prioritization of the crew’s activities.
  • Actively engage with crew members to establish individual / team goals and enable their success in support of our priorities.
  • Conduct regular team “huddles” and 1:1’s to further align individual priorities and activities.
  • Engage with our Sellers to monitor the customer engagement, lead conversion, Sales momentum, and execution of revenue targets.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the operational barriers impacting our crew. Collaborate to identify root cause and offer potential solutions to drive morale and overall team productivity.
  • Utilizing resources and materials, develop and implement space plans to improve logistics processes and achieve business results.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve root cause issues of performance or process challenges.
  • Oversight and ownership of materials transport and delivery logistics from each project site to our locations including “hand’s on” engagement where required.
  • Establish warehouse management oversight, disciplines, monitoring, and own operational goals, KPI’s and leading practices for the location. (e.g. inventory turns, pricing trends, slow-move/obsolete & scrap, labor productivity, employee morale, etc.).
  • Establish goals and promote the financial predictability of warehousing operations.
  • Establish monthly / annual productivity & performance improvement targets, resolve and correct as required.
  • Implement and assist with material cycle counts and site inventory processes to improve inventory visibility and accuracy.
  • Engage with and support various vendor and 3rd party logistics planning.

Compensation

Our Target Hiring Range for this position is $50,000 to $55,000 in our Waupaca, Wisconsin RE.VOLVS location. Please note that this range is based on work location, experience, and alignment to requirements of the role.
