What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Captain position at Receptions Inc?
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of banquet and catering events
- Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications
- Ensure proper food and beverage service during events
- Supervise banquet staff, including servers and bartenders
- Assist with food production and presentation as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas
- Communicate with event planners and clients to ensure satisfaction
- Handle any guest concerns or issues in a professional manner
Requirements:
- Previous experience in catering, banquet, or hotel industry preferred
- Knowledge of coffee service and bartending techniques is a plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to problem solve on the spot
