As they continue growing, they are looking for a Utilities Technician to join their day shift for their plant that specializes in Milk Intake and Aged Cheddar Production and Sweet Whey by-product. This role includes but is not limited to extensive problem solving and troubleshooting on their ammonia refrigeration systems, HVAC systems, and compressed air systems.
What YOU get to DO in this high-profile position:
Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on utilities equipment on the 1st shift.
Repair and maintain ammonia refrigeration systems,, HVAC systems, boiler/steam systems and domestic water heating systems.
Maintain and troubleshoot condenser and water chemical systems.
Improve and maintain refrigeration, cooling tower, and boiler logbooks.
Perform all duties with all safety protocols in mind.
Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Collaborate with planner/scheduler, PSM Manager, or other members of management as assigned in proper priority..
What you NEED to SUCCEED in this challenging role:
Minimum High School Diploma, 2 year associates degree in mechanical or HVAC is preferred.
At least 1 year of Previous experience with basic electrical systems, compressors, welding, plumbing, conveyers, hydraulics, packaging, PLC, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and pumps. a leadership role within a food or feed manufacturing environment is preferred.
Minimum 1 year experience working with one of the following systems: Boilers, Ammonia refrigeration units, or HVAC systems.
Ability to work in a collaborative, unionized environment and manage a diverse team.
Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to manage conflict effectively.
Must be able to work across shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
