Role Overview:
The VP of Engineering will be responsible for scaling and leading our engineering team through rapid growth. This individual must be familiar with JavaScript, Node.js, and MongoDB and have a strong track record of building and managing high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and scale Engineering Teams—Recruit, mentor, and retain top engineering talent, growing the team efficiently while maintaining a strong engineering culture.
- Technical Leadership – Provide strategic direction for the platform’s architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Hands-on Oversight – Guide engineering teams in best practices for software development, CI/CD, and DevOps, ensuring rapid yet reliable releases.
- Cross-functional Collaboration – Partner closely with Product, Design, and GTM teams to align technical roadmaps with business objectives.
- Process Optimization – Establish and refine agile development processes to improve software delivery speed and quality.
Required Qualifications:
- 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Candidates preferred to be located on the West Coast (PST)
- Proven success scaling engineering teams rapidly in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Understanding of test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices.
- Track record of driving high-impact technical decisions and architectural improvements.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence executive teams and stakeholders.
