A prominent firm in NYC is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee key HR functions including recruitment, benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, leave management, onboarding and offboarding, and ensuring compliance with Firm policies and relevant labor laws.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of employee leaves, including FMLA, PFL, disability, vacation, and sick time.
- Oversee employee relations, drive performance management efforts, and lead employee development initiatives.
- Administer employee benefits, including enrollment, changes, and terminations; manage the open enrollment process, employee claims, COBRA, and 401(k) plan administration.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from crafting job postings and reviewing resumes to conducting interviews and onboarding new hires.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as adherence to Firm policies and practices.
- Assist with payroll processing by approving timesheets and administering salary adjustments.
- Maintain accurate HR records, generate regular reports, and provide management with data insights.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or other related education
- Knowledge of federal and state employment and benefit laws and HR trends and changes.
- Law firm experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills
