Contract Length : 1.5 Month (This service may be amended, renewed, and / or extended providing both parties agree to do so in writing.)
Location : Bay City, TX. (The working position is On Site)
Pay Rate : $18-$23 / hr
Job Description :
This candidate performs desktop support technical work related to all information technology activities in support of approximately 250 users and 250 endpoints and servers. County infrastructure, services, and applications are largely onsite or on-premises solutions.
Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals. Typical county systems include a mix of desktops and laptops, and many of the following functions, including but not limited to jail management systems, booking, court records systems, computer aided dispatch, payroll, appraisal district systems, tax and records, financial systems, remote access systems, and other relevant local government systems.
Additionally, the Desktop Support Technician should be familiar with the following functions :
- Install and configure computer software, hardware, and peripheral equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues quickly and efficiently.
- Set up computers and other office equipment for employees.
- Provide steps to help internal users resolve technical problems.
- Maintain technical support procedures and reports.
- Create accounts for new users and assist with password or login problems.
- Minimum Requirements :

Years Required / Preferred Experience 2 Required Knowledge of the practices, principles, and techniques of computer operations. 2 Required Skill in the support of computers, in the use of applicable programs and systems, and in troubleshooting information systems. 2 Preferred User / Account management and creation. 2 Preferred Knowledge of computer re-imaging, configuration, and deployment.
