Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Paris, KY
Duration: 6-month contract (Full-Time)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
About the Opportunity:
Our client, a leader in the chemical and materials manufacturing industry, is seeking a Quality Engineer to support quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives at their facility in Paris, KY. This is a contract role offering the chance to work in a regulated, process-driven environment with opportunities to influence key quality and compliance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Execute internal audits and contribute to closing out audit findings
- Monitor and improve product and process quality using SPC tools and data analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product transfers and validations
- Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- Assist in the development of inspection and testing protocols
- Perform reviews of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) products and process deviations
- Contribute to validation efforts, including test methods, manufacturing, and cleaning validations
- Train staff to build quality awareness across departments
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in a quality engineering role, ideally in chemical, rubber, or plastics manufacturing
- Strong understanding of GMP practices, preferably in a pharmaceutical setting
- Familiarity with ISO 9000 or AS9100 standards
Preferred Skills:
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (or working toward certification)
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and DOE methodologies
- Proficiency with Minitab and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- Skilled in metrology tools and statistical quality control
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Compensation:
- Pay Rate: $37.40/hour (W2)
