TITLE OF POSITION : Mid-Level Analyst LOCATION : Washington DC DESCRIPTION OF ROLE : This position is contingent on award notification. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Provides continuous research and assessment of congressional actions, reports, and sensitive issues. Identify areas of significant interest and develop courses of action to address them effectively. Supports the development and implementation of a proactive congressional engagement strategy across customer priority areas. QUALIFICATIONS : Must Haves : Minimum four (4) years of experience analyzing and writing. Five (5) years of experience in defense acquisition on federal congressional actions. Strong understanding of the enactment process for defense authorization and appropriation legislation. Working knowledge of the Navy’s PPBE process. Experience in reviewing and analyzing defense legislation for potential impacts to Navy programs and initiatives. Experience in producing written documents for senior officials including briefing materials, legislative summaries, background papers and correspondence.
