Civil Estimator

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial in ensuring that our projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

Site Clearing and Earthwork, Underground Utilities, Final Grade and Paving

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for construction projects.
• Build comprehensive cost models that reflect the scope of work and project requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project are considered in the estimate.
• Prepare detailed reports that summarize estimates, budgets, and forecasts for management review.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and pricing to provide competitive estimates.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction estimating or related field.
• Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with project teams, subcontractors and clients with the ability to represent the company at project meetings
• Ability to effectively communicate with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
• Familiarity with cost control measures and project management methodologies.
• A degree in Construction Management or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.

· Minimum 1 year of heavy civil construction experience

· Applicant must be a self-starter who can operate independently and thrives in a busy environment
