What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant Specialist position at Red Jacket Resorts?
Cape Cod’s Red Jacket Resort collection is seeking an Accounting Specialist. This role will provide support to the Area Director of Finance and Area Assistant Controller in the day-to-day financials of the resorts. The role specializes in administrative work in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, laws and company policy.
The Accounting Specialist position is responsible but not limited to:
- Researching inquiries on payments, credit cards, and disputes.
- Assisting in compiling bills and posting payments for Receivables.
- Engaging in obtaining statements and the Payables process.
- Maintaining agreements and certificate of insurance, plus conducting data entry.
- Assisting in coordination of administrative functions such as clerical duties and answering phone calls.
- Assisting in specialized projects.
Candidates with previous accounting/finance experience and customer service are preferred. The role requires the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities. The individual must have a high energy level and the ability to be creative and think independently. Excellent organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills are also required. The role will be stationed at Wequassett Resort and Golf Club in Harwich, MA.
