General Manager

Scottsdale Golf Group is seeking a General Manager to join our team at Red Mountain Ranch Country Club.

Red Mountain Ranch and Country Club features one golf course, driving range and residents enjoy a variety of extracurricular activities including an outdoor pools and spa, tournament quality pickleball courts, tennis center, fitness center and a clubhouse featuring dining, banquet, and private member’s lounge.

The General Manager ensures all operations run efficiently; operational costs are controlled and in line budgetary guidelines; maintain company’s ambitious standards; continuously promote revenue; and enforce compliance with all federal, state, and local guidelines. And most importantly, ensure top notch service and guest satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent Red Mountain Ranch Country Club and Scottsdale Golf Group to assist residents and guests with any inquiries.
• Evaluate operations to determine productivity efficiencies vs. budgeted standards.
• Provide appropriate leadership in accord with Scottsdale Golf Group culture and mission statement to promote positive employee morale and performance quality.
• Provide direction, supervision, and guidance to management staff to assist with their skill development and help ensure the successful development and implementation of appropriate departmental operating and safety plans, goals, and policies & procedures.
• Oversee and manage employment, including but not limited to, personnel recruitment and selection, performance evaluations, training, compensation, discipline, and termination, etc. to ensure compliance with Scottsdale Golf Group human resources policies and procedures.
• Assess the quality of member service activities in all departments. Formulate general plans and oversee their implementation towards achieving increased customer service excellence.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, municipal officials, and community organizations.
• Assists in the preparation of the club’s annual budget and financial goals.
• Holds all departments accountable for reaching their monthly and annual financial goals.
• Is the onsite leader of the club, working to bring the staff together to accomplish the main goal of member and employee satisfaction.
• Review P&L with management to ensure financial and operational success.
• Holds a weekly department head staff meeting and distributes minutes and action items following each meeting to the department heads and managers.
• Ensures that the club is operated in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws.
• Manages emergencies promptly and documents all such major incidents in an Incident Report.
• Performs other functions, duties and tasks as required or directed.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of industry experience with a minimum of 3 years in management
• Should have experience in operating POS (Point of Sale) software; experience with foreup and Sagacity preferred but not required.
• Must be able to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time; move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office products including EXCEL
