Job Summary:
The Red River Waterway Commission is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide top-notch support to the Executive Director and other office personnel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for a variety of administrative duties, including processing invoices, maintaining databases, and preparing legal documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process invoices for approval and payment
- Maintain and enter invoice and payment data in Project Management database
- Prepare legal documents, including lease agreements and bid packets
- Maintain lists of active contracts and update monthly contract status reports
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond to telephone inquiries from the public
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Legal secretary or paralegal certification preferred
- Basic bookkeeping/accounting skills preferred
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
