The Redding Rancheria is seeking a Temporary Administrative Assistant I - Human Resources. The preferred schedule for this position is 28 hours per week.
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Human Resources, performs a variety of office support and/or secretarial duties for the Human Resources Department. Incumbent will compose and process a variety of standard documents and correspondence, replaying telephone inquiries, process forms, draft Human Resources communications, and properly filing, maintaining, and retrieving all personnel files.
REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a valid and current CDL.
- 1 to 3 years of clerical experience.
- Computer skills and experience with a variety of word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Demonstrated typing skills of 30-40 wpm or more and the ability to operate office equipment
- Must pass background screening.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
- Indian preference.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Assist Senior Director of Human Resources with all manners of administrative support.
- Assist the Human Resources department in all manners of administrative support.
- Process and handle all department requisitions.
- Maintain Senior Director and Human Resources Manager mail, calendar, voicemail, etc.
- Assists in writing communications for the HR department, such as drafting email communications to all staff.
- Maintains and files personnel forms for physical files as well as electronic maintenance (Docstar) of employment files, both active and terminated.
- Keep record of all signed Human Resources contracts, both digital and physical.
- Maintain file retrieval system (Hemsted) and process requests regarding retrieval, pick-up and shred for the Tribal Office.
- Serves as relief to the Tribal Receptionist performing all duties and responsibilities assigned to that position.
- Review, respond and maintain the Human Resources email.
- Assist in coordinating events and helping during department events.
- Sort, screen, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail related to the Human Resources Department. Assist Senior Director with preparation of and organization of annual reviews.
- Processes Employee Recognitions.
- Oversees Employee of the Month nominations, awards, and coordination of notification.
- Facilitates New Employee Breakfasts.
- Assists Senior Director with power point presentations.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.
- Sets up Zoom meetings for Senior Director.
