What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Automation Specialist position at Rees Associates?
The Industrial Automation specialist improves and maintains PLC’s and connected machines. This position requires a strong troubleshooter/problem solver. The Industrial Automation Specialist uses appropriate tools to troubleshoot and diagnose the root cause of electrical issues.
Responsibilities:
- Use the appropriate tools to troubleshoot and diagnose the root cause of electrical issues in the facility.
- Troubleshoot and test functionality of process instrumentation- We are currently using Omron PLC’s, so experience with CX Programmer is a preferred.
- Interpret electrical schematics and user manuals.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues with PLCs (programmable logic controllers)
- Use basic network troubleshooting to diagnose control networking issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance.
- Assist mechanics when necessary.
- Works well with deadlines
Requirements:
· Detail oriented
· Works well in a fast-paced environment.
· Experience with CX Programmer is a preferred.
· Ladder logic experience is a PLUS
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
