Regency Supply, a leading distributor of lighting and electrical products in San Diego, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. This individual will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of inventory, shipping, and receiving. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong background in warehouse management, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, perform, and coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, inventory management, order picking, packing, shipping, and delivery of lighting and electrical products.
- Lead, train, and develop warehouse staff to ensure high standards of productivity, accuracy, and safety.
- Ensure inventory is accurately tracked, properly stored, and regularly audited to minimize discrepancies.
- Manage the unloading of trucks and receiving of goods, ensuring proper inspection and quality control.
- Collaborate with sales, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize space utilization and improve warehouse efficiency.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety regulations, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and company policies.
- Monitor equipment and machinery, performing basic maintenance or coordinating repairs as needed.
- Prepare reports on inventory levels, shipping statuses, and performance metrics for management review.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments, deliveries, or inventory management.
- Assist with the development of warehouse procedures and best practices to streamline operations.
- Provide necessary coverage and collaboration, utilizing warehouse staff, with other branch employees to serve customers over the phone and at the sales counter when required throughout the day for lunch, PTO, and shift change needs.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, or related field is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role, preferably within a lighting and electrical distribution environment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control practices.
- Proven experience in managing a team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, orders, and inventory records.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, including standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery.

The likely hourly pay rate for this position is $30.00 an hour, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
