CLASSIFICATION TITLE: Program Manager II
General Statement Of Responsibliities
This is a FLSA exempt position. The incumbent shall assist with the overall planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of the Prevention Services and Family Wellness initiatives, including the Training, Coalition capacity building and Student Assistance Programs. This position will coordinate program implementation with various agencies and grassroots volunteers; collaborating with contracted evaluators and Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) in collecting and reporting prevention evaluation and service data; and the provision of direct prevention services. The incumbent is also expected to be active in community coalitions and take on leadership roles when appropriate.
The incumbent reports to the Director II, Prevention and receives general supervision, referring specific situations to the supervisor when clarification of policy is needed. In carrying out the position duties, the incumbent performs in accordance with applicable professional ethics and established Region Ten policies.
Qualifications
To ensure the safe and efficient operation of the program, a valid Virginia Driver’s License plus an acceptable driving record as issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles are required. For business use of a personal car, a certificate of valid personal automobile insurance must be provided. In addition, the incumbent must possess the following qualifications, knowledge, skills and abilities:
Education: Master’s Degree and license eligible within six months in pertinent mental health field (e.g., counseling, social work, psychology, nursing) is preferred.
Experience: Human services experience working with children and families; management experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications: Virginia driver’s license plus an acceptable driving record as issued by the Division of Motor Vehicles are required.

GRADE: 12 (This position is grant-funded and contingent upon continued grant support. Employment is subject to the availability of grant funds.)
SCHEDULE: 40 hours weekly. Schedule determined by program and coalition needs.
