Hours: Approximately 40/ week based on need

Position Overview:
The individual fulfilling this position handles all phases of teller operations, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, etc. This individual will be required to have knowledge of bank products, bank operations, and deposit compliance and willingness to be cross-trained in various areas of branch operations. This individual shall exercise independent judgment in most instances and require minimal supervision.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Promotes business for the Bank by maintaining good customer relations both in person and by handling incoming calls
- Adheres to policies and procedures to minimize losses
- Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines checks for endorsements
- Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances
- Prepare cashier’s checks and personal money orders
- Process customer statements.
- Enters customer transactions to validate transaction accurately and efficiently
- Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at balancing time and compares totaled amounts with amount in teller drawer
- Perform services for customers such as ordering checks, debit cards, and ATM cards
- Record/process all transactions promptly, accurately and in compliance with bank procedures and policies
- Accepts loan payments
- Balance currency, cash and checks in cash drawer at the end of each business day
- Answer inquiries regarding checking, savings and loan account and any other bank related products
- Attempt to resolve issues and problems with customer accounts
- Prepares CTR’s and familiar with SAR’s
- Answer phone
- Other responsibilities at the discretion of management
Qualifications & Education Requirements:
- 1- 3 years teller experience required
- High School Graduate/GED
- Excel/Word Processing
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Must possess good verbal and written communication
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-task environment.
- Must be capable of reliable attendance.
- Willing to attend continuing education related courses pertaining to job
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
