Overview
The Sales Account Executive is responsible for actively engaging customers and potential customers, making and answering sales calls and emails, and providing customer quotes at the best market value. This position is responsible for maintaining up to date and current product costs to aid in providing accurate quotes.
Specific Accountabilities
· Correspond with customers via phone (primary), email, ILS, Aeroxchange, and Parts base for requests for price, availability, and lead time for the sale of parts and repairs.
· Enter vendor quotes into the system to ensure an accurate fair market value (FMV).
· Utilize company business system (Quantum Control) and portal data to identify and document customer needs and maintain continuous communication regarding open part orders, SPECS, and part availability.
· Gather information regarding airline fleets and possible changes to the fleets.
· Work closely with outside sale representatives to support assigned customer accounts.
· Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company personnel.
· Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients, including spare packages
· Identify and contact sales prospects, and other accounts as assigned.
· Follow up on existing customers to maintain customer satisfaction.
· Create and manage sales orders until the order is fulfilled.
· Broker parts when necessary.
· Notify Product Line Managers (PLM) when parts should be sent out for repair.
· Push parts packages to customers.
· Follow up on Repair Orders ensuring parts are delivered as quoted to provide top tier/ white glove customer service.
· Assist accounting with collection of outstanding invoices.
· Required to conduct follow up for, and maintain a knowledge base of, paperwork, trace, and certifications of aviation parts.
· Data stewardship of Quantum and various other software systems.
· Develop and maintain daily, weekly, monthly task and project trackers.
Qualifications
· Minimum of 1 year sales experience. (Dealbreaker)
· Minimum 1 year in the aviation industry. (Dealbreaker)
· Must have a sales (hunter) mentality. (strongly preferred).
· Willingness to make outbound calls with intent of fortifying relationships in the pursuit of generating new, add-on business, and incremental sales.
· Ability to understand and interpret data sets and metrics and apply intelligence to improve personal sales performance.
· High school or GED equivalent required; college degree preferred.
· Strong Computer Skills, including Microsoft Office.
· Detail oriented and strong organizational skills.
· Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
· Strong written and communication skills.
