The position is responsible for administering, processing and maintaining the organization’s leave policy (FMLA, LOA, PLOA, Military Leave, and return to work physicals) for represented employees in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Duties & Responsibilities :
ESSENTIAL :
- Manages the leave program for represented employees by administering and processing leave requests and return to work physicals consistently and in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and state and federal laws.
- Responds to employee questions or concerns regarding leave issues, researches questions or refers to other resources for a response.
- Investigates and researches leave policy issues and problems and responds with appropriate action in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement and state and federal laws.
- Identifies and advises management of FML trends, problems, and issues as well as a recommended course of action; informs management of new procedures and ideas for continuous process improvement.
- Ensures that the leave policy is being applied consistently and properly by managers and supervisors by providing proactive education, guidance, and training regarding the policy and monitoring management’s leave time tracking.
- Participates and assists in the ADAAA interactive process when an employee informs the employer of a need for accommodation.
