What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nutrition Services Supervisor position at Regions Hospital?
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Lead and manage the preparation, production, service and distribution of the daily food service operation to patients, visitors and hospital employees.
- Oversee the infection prevention and food safety monitoring in the daily operations of nutrition services.
- Assist in the hiring process of employees and oversee the onboarding of new employees.
- Conduct performance evaluations and assist in daily and ongoing staffing needs.
- Responsibilities also include developing, maintaining, and evaluating programs, policies and procedures and improvement processes to assure ongoing excellent nutrition care and services.
- The position reports to their assigned Manager and performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Two (2) years of management or supervisory experience
- Two (2) years of culinary/food production work experience.
- One (1) year experience in purchasing and inventory control
- Service Safe Certification and Food Manager Certification through the State of Minnesota within 6 months of hire
- Must have excellent customer service, analytical, and problem-solving skills
FTE: 1.0; 40 hours per week
Work Schedule: 1130am-8pm; Occasional day shifts. Required to work every other weekend and holiday rotation.
