Job Summary:
The primary role of the Assistant Director of Student Life, Student Engagement will be to develop programs, activities and experiences that enhance student engagement at Regis University, serves and supports all members of our diverse community and in doing so fosters a sense of belonging in a manner that reflects our Catholic and Jesuit Identity and status as a Hispanic Serving Institution. The Assistant Director of Student Life, Student Engagement will collaborate with professional staff and student leaders to set goals, assess student engagement efforts, develop innovative engagement activities and programs, and serve as a liaison with other university departments essential to program implementation and success.
Major programmatic areas of responsibility include campus programming, programming board, recognized student organizations, and management of the university student engagement platform.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Programming Board. Select, train and supervise the Student Programming Board. Equip student leadership, through the development of a curricular training experience, to vision, plan, implement and assess a comprehensive and robust set of afternoon, evening and weekend activities, events and experiences that are reflective of, and engaging to, the diverse composition of the student body.

University-wide programming traditions. Provide support, guidance and mentoring to student leaders charged with the implementation of established, and development of new, programming traditions that engage, include and serve the diverse communities that compose the student body.

Blue and Gold Weekend. IN collaboration with University Advancement, Varsity Athletics and Parent and Family Programs, develop and implement a comprehensive Family and Legacy Weekend schedule of activities to engage students, families and alumni.

University Recognized Student Organizations (RSO).Coordinate all aspects of university student clubs and organization recognition process. Application process, approval process, on-boarding and leadership development for student leaders and advisors.Serve as a mentor, resource and primary interface between student leaders of officially recognized student organizations and the University. Mentor student leaders through one on one interactions, retreats, and trainings. Collaborate with student leaders to evaluate organizational needs, set goals and programmatic schedules, implement programs and ensure that programs are consistent with the mission of the University and the Office of Student Life. Select, train and supervise a team of engagement consultants to support RSO's. Work closely with multiple departments to provide support for student organizations; including, but not limited to, the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusive Excellence, Wellness and Wellbeing, and academic Dean's offices.

Marketing and Outreach. Responsible for all aspects of student engagement platform and mobile application (Campus Groups/Ranger Central).Coordinates event and activities calendars for RUSGA, Walkers Pub and Programming Board.
- Event Supervision. Attend, monitor and serve as University Official at events sponsored by programs under advisement or supervision. Assist with supervision of campus-wide events such as fall leadership summit, and SOAR (Starting Out At Regis).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Master's Degree in Higher Education or related field preferred.
Experience:
-
1 - 2 years of demonstrated achievement in Student Engagement/Activities/Affairs environment.
- Demonstrated teamwork, training and facilitation experience. Understanding of the developmental level and needs of college students.
- Understanding of the structure of a University, its constituents, the needs of a campus community and the flow of information within a University structure.
