The Fleet Lot Supervisor will monitor and supervise our Fleet Coordinators to prepare returned rental and shuttle vehicles to the on-site, off-site, Quick Turn Around (QTA) and/or return them to the customer rental-ready line area(s), filling gas tanks and checking fluid levels and tire pressures. Other duties include inspecting for auto body damage and checking for dash warning lights. You may also be required to drive and park cars at our airport lot offsite locations as needed. This is an outdoor combination role, where you may be at our Quick Turn Around (QTA) location cleaning rental vehicles or at our off-site outside facility cleaning rental vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily activities on the fleet lot, ensuring that vehicles are organized, maintained, and moved according to operational needs and schedules.
- Signing In/Out credentials daily, and all staff return their badges.
- Manages staff break periods on shift.
- Ensures all staff comply with all mandatory corporate or site-specific training
- Coordinates with the QTA and off-site teams to manage ABG vehicle demands.
- May transport staff/rental vehicles to and from other rental car facilities
- Provide training, coaching, and accountability to VSAs as necessary.
- Must follow pre-determined routes to/from destinations with transporting vehicles
- Must escalate any vehicle incidents at the time of occurrence to the manager/supervisor on duty
- Manage vehicle flow/organization in off-site/on-site lots.
- Check vehicle exterior, windshield, and windows for damage report damage per standard operating procedures.
- Check tire condition, pressure, and tread depth and convey reportable findings per standard operating procedures.
- Check for customer items and place any found items in lost and found.
- Verify registration is in the vehicle, current, and matches the vehicle license plate.
- Check fluid levels and report any low levels/vehicle service lights to fleet maintenance.
- Inspect the vehicle for any safety concerns; report any warning lights and/or safety concerns per standard operating procedures.
- Ensures quality control hang tags are signed off on and visible for the public/final inspection after moving the vehicle.
- Ensure that the vehicle keys are visible in predesignated areas.
- Records any workplace incidents with management/claims reporting portals
- Ensures all staff are in approved company uniform.

- Effectively communicates via radio, e-mail, and any applicable operations applications used between Republic and Avis Budget Group
- Help maintain the overall site appearance, including general cleaning the interiors and exteriors of work areas, break areas, and office spaces.
- Assist customers when needed.
- Additional responsibilities may change with or without notice.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service and communication skills are necessary
- Must be energetic and able to walk at a fast-paced and stand for 8 hours a day
- Experience driving a manual transmission is a plus
- Experience with Microsoft Applications, like Teams, Word and Excel.
- Team leader skills
- Must tolerate harsh weather conditions: excessive heat, cold, and inclement weather.
- At least 18 years of age
- 1 year of supervisory experience
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Flexibility to work all shifts.
- Must adhere to all local and federal driving laws
