Job Title: Manufacturing Financial Controller
Location: Everett, WA
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manufacturing Financial Controller to join our team in Everett, WA. This key position will be responsible for overseeing financial operations in our manufacturing facility, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, providing financial analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting, cost management, and budgeting, as well as a keen ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the manufacturing operations.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, operational performance, and key financial metrics to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
- Prepare and present financial reports for senior management, highlighting financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies to maintain financial integrity and accuracy.
Cost Management & Budgeting:
- Develop, implement, and manage the annual budget for manufacturing operations, including labor, materials, overhead, and capital expenditures.
- Lead the monthly forecasting process to ensure budget targets are met and provide variance analysis.
- Monitor and control costs to ensure that operations are running efficiently and within budget.
- Work closely with operations and procurement teams to analyze cost structure and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Inventory & Asset Management:
- Oversee the accounting for inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and valuation.
- Collaborate with operations to improve inventory turnover and reduce excess or obsolete inventory.
- Manage fixed assets, ensuring proper accounting treatment and accurate depreciation schedules.
Internal Controls & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP) and company policies and procedures.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to prevent fraud, errors, and inefficiencies.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings.
- Oversee and manage month-end and year-end close processes for manufacturing-related financials.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Supervise and mentor a team of financial professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Collaborate with department heads in operations, procurement, and supply chain to ensure financial alignment with operational goals.
- Provide financial training and guidance to non-financial managers to enhance financial literacy and decision-making.
Strategic Support:
- Partner with senior leadership in strategic planning, providing financial insights to support business decisions.
- Assist in evaluating capital investment projects, including return on investment (ROI) analysis.
- Continuously assess the financial health of the manufacturing operation and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA or CMA preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of financial experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting processes.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.

Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
