Job Overview
Are you a neat-nick? If so the Residence Inn Canton is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality within our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in housekeeping management, with industry. Marriott, Hilton and IHG experience is preferred. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a commitment to quality, and the ability to motivate and train staff effectively.
Duties
- Oversee and manage the housekeeping department and relevant staff members.
- Develop and implement housekeeping systems and procedures.
- Work with the GM to stay within budget controls.
- Establish standards and procedures for the housekeeping staff, including minimum guest service scores.
- Plan work schedules and room assignments for staff.
- Train and support housekeeping staff to deliver consistent service per Marriott Brand Standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitary standards.
- Handle guest complaints and requests promptly and with empathy, in person and on internal texting program (GXP)
- Inspect the cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and public areas.
- Conduct monthly inventory and order housekeeping supplies and equipment.
- Interact with vendors and affiliated properties and maintain good professional relationships.
- Conduct performance evaluations of housekeeping team and manage any necessary disciplinary actions
- Other assigned projects and temporary assignments as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or custodial industry.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping management practices.
- Familiarity with hotel operations and standards is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
