Banking Operations Specialist
Position Summary:
This position reports to the Banking Operations & Systems Assistant Manager and is responsible for performing duties too varied and diverse to be classified in any specific support occupation. Position may require learning new systems as entry and second level support, answering phones, filing and copying and performing Banking Operations functions as needed. Training may be required as it pertains to your job duties. Occasional use of personal vehicle may be required.
Essential Functions:
• Assist in all areas of Banking Operations including but not limited to, maintenance, scanning, verifying, account documentation review, and lockbox.
• Review all incoming documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to policy.
• Provide telephone and email support to customers (internal and external) regarding Banking Operations systems and products including, but not limited to, Remote Deposit Capture, online banking, debit cards.
• Answer customer inquiries via phone and email.
• Process or backup daily chargebacks, un-posteds, overdrafts, exceptions, etc.
• Assist in all areas of customer support, customer identification and authorization, policy adherence, and general support.
• Review system reports for accuracy, various verification, and dual control purposes.
• Perform data entry.
• Operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, scanners, and phone systems, and use computers for spreadsheet, word processing, database management, and other applications.
• Learn to operate new technologies as they are developed and implemented.
• Assist in creating and updating procedures as it pertains to your job duties. Ability to apply practical judgement and understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
• Ability to interact and communicate with other team members and customers efficiently.
• All other duties as assigned.
