General Description: Complete applications for NJSave application to screen for Medicare coverage (B&D), PAAD, Utility Assistance, Tenant Assistance, HAAAD, NJ HAP, LIHEAP, etc. with clients from multiple socioeconomical statuses.

Primary Job Responsibilities & Duties:

• Conducts phone intake assessments/applications and/or in-person home visits in the assigned county.
• Assist clients with obtaining documentation required to complete the NJSave application.
• Facilities connections and referrals to resources in the community.
• Attends outreach events to promote connections within the community.
• Work independently
• Hybrid work schedule

Other Job Duties:

• Advocates on behalf of clients and families for services, basic needs, and other related issues.
• Composes or prepares correspondence and technical reports related documents using computer-based applications (Microsoft Word, Outlook, and/or Excel).
• Stay well-informed of community resources and procedures for referring clients to appropriate resources.
• Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned by Director.
• Works with community partners to maximize the assistance for clients.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelors Degree and/or Associates Degree and/or 3 years’ experience working in Human Services.
• At least one (1) year of experience (working or internship) in social services or a related field focused on eligibility determination, social service or community resource referral.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse audience.
• Knowledge of general intake process.
• Efficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25,000.00 per year
