What You Will Do
The Manager will supervise the Underwriting and Customer Service team(s) and ensure that all processes are conducted efficiently and effectively. The Manager will plan, organize, manage, and evaluate the performance of the team(s). The Manager will develop, implement, and monitor work plans to achieve our business priorities.
This role requires the Manager to continually improve work processes, procedures, and tools applicable to the team's responsibilities. Critically, the Manager will provide leadership to create and foster a high-performing, positive, data-driven, service-oriented work environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, time management, and conflict resolution abilities. Finally, the Manager will build a culture that encourages effective solutions and positive leadership.
Essential Duties
- Lead the teams to achieve or exceed goals and objectives. Communicate job expectations. Plan and monitor results, including coaching, supporting, and providing constructive feedback to employees.
- Demonstrate a continuous capacity to learn, adapt, and innovate as business conditions and needs change.
- Identify business issues and opportunities. Determine the financial and operational impact and create systems or processes to address the situation.
- Recruit, select, and train employees in a safe, secure work environment that enhances our unique culture.
- Manage employee work schedules, including assignments, training, vacations, and paid time off.
- Establish and implement customer service standards, analyze and resolve quality and customer service challenges, and recommend and implement process improvements.
- Improve operational workflows, enhance productivity, and reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Communicate with internal and external resources on all relevant activities.
- Represent the Company as the underwriting corporate representative
Position Details
This is a full-time position open to candidates who fulfill the requirements. The compensation is competitive, and there is opportunity for the job responsibilities to grow based on experience, skill set, and performance.
- This position is located in Plantation, Florida (100% on-site).
- Applicants must be willing to complete tasks outside of formal job requirements.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- History of operations management. Insurance experience is a plus. Demonstrated leadership abilities. Proven experience in managing teams and driving operational excellence.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and implement actionable solutions.
- Team-focused. Must be able to work with clients, other team members, and partners.
- Availability to work, when required, after hours and on the weekend.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual English / Spanish verbal and written.
- Current Florida 2-20 Resident General Lines license or ability to obtain within initial 90 days.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and quickly acclimates to changes in processes/systems.
