Responsibilities

• Responsible for defining and continuously upgrading QA processes and standards to assess and mitigate the food safety and quality risk of all new PLK US&C products
• Manage the approval and monitoring of all food and packaging suppliers for PLK US&C
• Ensure all PLK US&C products comply with company standards on quality, food safety, nutrition, and sustainability
• Food Crisis management for PLK US&C, including interaction with regulatory agencies (FDA, USDA, CFIA,…)
• Manage, engage, and develop RBI PLK US&C quality assurance team and extended support team
• Work together with Marketing, Product Innovation, Brand Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure the prompt launch of new products as per the marketing calendar. Commit and deliver on approval times, and report it as Service Level Agreement (SLA)
• Collects all metrics for supplier and product approval and quality performance in a Supplier Quality scorecard and Report to the brand Leadership team and peers at the new products multidisciplinary teams
  
  

Qualifications

• 10 years overall experience in poultry quality assurance, food safety, food risk assessment, and food crisis management
• Minimum 5 years of poultry production experience (Facility QA or Production positions)
• 5 years of experience in QA senior positions of a large poultry food, retail, or restaurant chain company
• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related Technical Sciences
• Certified Food Safety training (HACCP)
• Demonstrates in-depth experience, knowledge, and skills in Quality Assurance across multiple food product categories (Poultry, seasonings, condiments, …). Extensive experience with food safety principles including HACCP, SPC, ISO, TQM, GMP’s principles, GFSI audits
• Effective communication, organizational, and time management skills. Communicates clearly and can explain technically complex situations in a concise, articulate, and insightful way
• Results oriented with sense of urgency. Takes accountability and demonstrates drive in delivering results. Flexible and resourceful. Prioritizes workload and deploys resources according to company strategies and needs, to ensure timely execution of the critical objectives
• Successfully manages high tension, crisis situations. Strong managerial courage
• Problem solving attitude based on risk assessment and mitigation strategies. Can identify problems and underlying causes quickly. Generates a variety of alternative solutions and aligns with all stakeholders to reach the best solution
• The position requires permanent residence in Miami Metro area
