Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Assists with all functions across the Aquatics department and works closely with the professional staff to ensure the department Service Standards; Safe, Clean, Friendly, Fun, are met or exceeded at all facilities and events.

Participates in seasonal hiring process by conducting Aquatics attendant staff interviews and making recommendations related to hiring.

Ability to work and be trained on registration software

Assists with scheduling and tracking of staff orientation attendance

Assists with registration and fee collection for all Drop-In courses within established cash handling procedures.

Assist with management of retail inventory at Member Services and at the pools

Research purchasing and develop sales strategies for ice cream sales at the pools

Assists with coordination of special events and acts as point of contact for day of event

Assists in scheduling and coordination of pool parties and acts as point of contact for day of event

Data entry, including but not limited to yearly pool usage statistics, program and wage benchmarking research, employee performance evaluation tracking, and compiling department statistics

Assists with preparation of weekly Aquatics newsletter

Provide customer service at special events (rentals, parties, race events, special programs, member / guest tours).

Will be involved in special events as assigned by supervisor and performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

Age 18

Confident, mature, and well-spoken

Able to provide quality internal customer service for a diverse population including youth-based staff

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to cater communication style to suit various audiences

Strong Microsoft Office skills.

Ability to move 50lbs

Corrective eyewear or assistance devices are permitted.

Education and Experience – High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus two years related administrative experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior Parks & Recreation related experience preferred.

Computer Skills – High level proficiency in Microsoft excel, skill in the use of Microsoft Office applications, database software and the Internet.

Other Skills and Abilities – Must be able to manage a variety of complex documents simultaneously; analyze information and prepare reports; establish and maintain effective working relationships; interact courteously and with co-workers, supervisors, and Association members.

Other Qualifications – Must possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record. May be required to work evenings and weekends to accommodate the Department’s hours of operation

This position is part-time and will work up to 30 hours per week in office. This position is not eligible for remote work.
