Aquatics Maintenance and Facility Assistants are responsible for completing and documenting repairs made at the Association’s pool facilities. Major work is performed pre-season in order to meet scheduled facility openings. Typical repairs will include elements of construction, plumbing, painting, plaster / caulk, light masonry, electrical, and troubleshooting of pool mechanical systems. Assembly of pool equipment, competitive and instructional equipment, and relocation and placement of heavy / bulk items. Assistant staff will manage facility inventory and maintain reasonable stock levels in chemicals, janitorial, and administrative items.
Administers chemical dosing to recreational water amenities to include reading of chemical labels, confirming effective and necessary dose, properly wearing protective equipment as specified on Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and monitoring for adverse chemical reactions through observation, re-testing, and recognition of dangerous / undesired smells.
Work is performed in various environments including elevated, underground, underwater, in confined spaces, in rooms with constant loud mechanical equipment, and will include exposure to chemical fumes, dirt / dust, sustained high temperatures, and direct sunlight. Use of power tools, ladders, and SCUBA equipment may be required with appropriate orientation and training.

- Able to provide quality customer service for a diverse population
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Ability to move 100lbs, hear whistle alerts from 50 yards, and see hand gestures from 25 yards.
- Corrective eyewear or assistance devices are permitted.
- Able to work independently and complete tasks within allotted time
