About the Position:
Position Overview: RCAI seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage our financial data and ensure compliance. In this role, you will handle daily financial entries and reconciliations and verify transactions across ledgers. Responsibilities include monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, journal entries, sales tax reconciliation and compliance, bank reconciliations, inventory reconciliation, and preparing reports, spreadsheets, and KPIs. Experience in cost accounting and working with ERP systems is a must. Salary commensurate with experience.
As Senior Accountant you will be responsible for the applying of accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information and prepare accurate and timely financial reports. This position will provide critical analysis and information to the management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Accounting:
- Perform general ledger accounting and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Responsible for ensuring that general ledgers and entries for multiple entities companies with the parent company are maintained and accurate.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
- Responsible for reconciling monthly/quarterly/annual sales tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Analyze financial information, operating results, and manufacturing costs.
- Cost Accounting:
- Analyze cost accounting data and provide insights for cost control and reduction.
- Maintain and update cost accounting systems and processes.
- Monitor inventory valuation and cost of goods sold.
- Recommend and implement cost reduction and revenue enhancement strategies.
- Budgeting & Reporting.
- Reviews monthly financial reports and budget variances for reasonableness before sending to CFO for review and analysis.
- Assists with the preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets.
- Financial Analysis:
- Conduct variance analysis and identify trends and anomalies.
- Perform budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years of accounting experience, including financial reporting and general ledger oversight.
- Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
- The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of NetSuite and excellent organizational skills.
- AA/AS or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
