Description
RETTEW is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our finance department. The Assistant Biller will be responsible for running the billing process each month under the direction of the Lead Biller. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely billing, expense processing, and timesheet management.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities include:
Billing
- Prepare and distribute prebills.
- Process prebill adjustments.
- Prepare draft and final invoices.
- Run the bill close process.
- Prepare invoice backups.
- Distribute final invoices to clients via email, online systems, or regular mail.
Expense Processing
- Collect expenses from other offices for entry into our accounting software (DELTEK).
- Enter all unit expenses not submitted via eUnit on a monthly basis after bill close.
- Post Unit Pricing expense reports.
Timesheet Processing Lead
- Review timesheets weekly for accuracy.
- Send emails to managers and employees if timesheets are not correct.
- Post timesheets to DELTEK once all are complete.
- Run Staff Utilization weekly.
- Run payroll extract on a bi-weekly basis and send to payroll processor.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
- Working knowledge of DELTEK preferred.
- 2 to 4 years of bookkeeping experience.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
