Job Summary
Join our team as a Cardiovascular Sonographer, where you'll perform diagnostic cardiovascular examinations and deliver exceptional patient care in a collaborative and professional environment. You’ll play a vital role in identifying and assessing heart and vascular conditions, contributing to life-saving diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic cardiovascular exams as per physician orders and department protocols.
- Generate preliminary reports for physician interpretation.
- Document procedures and manage electronic records.
- Communicate critical findings to Cardiologists and referring physicians.
- Collaborate with team leaders to address workflow, significant findings, and equipment issues.
- Maintain equipment and ensure quality performance during procedures.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma.
- Experience: 1 year of on-the-job training or graduation from an accredited ultrasound school.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Required: RDCS or RCS (Adult Echocardiography) or RVT or RVS (Vascular Sonography) within 1 year of hire.
- CPR certification.
- Skills:
- Expertise in cardiac and vascular ultrasound procedures.
- Proficiency in operating ultrasound systems, PVR, BP monitors, and computer systems.
- Availability for on-call hours, including weekends and holidays.
