About the Role - The Director of Service & Installation is responsible for leading and overseeing daily service and installation operations, driving business growth, and advancing customer development, leadership, sales, products, and operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze internal operations to identify areas for process enhancement and implement business strategies that align with short- and long-term objectives.
- Monitor performance, prepare detailed updates and forecasts, and build trusting relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Provide strategic advice, manage HVAC division, and implement strategies to achieve organizational goals.
- Execute and develop business plans to drive sales, operational excellence, competitive advantage, brand awareness, customer engagement, market share, and profitability.
- Identify product opportunities to improve customer experience and develop, implement, and optimize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all HVAC operations.
- Plan, execute, and monitor departmental and regional performance using metrics such as sales, inventory turns, service level, gross profit, callback rate, cost per call, labor utilization rate, and lead conversation rate.
- Motivate and mentor direct reports, foster leadership talent, and engage in succession planning and talent development.
- Continuously improve processes used to deliver outputs and complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Prior Director-level leadership and strategic planning experience.
- Supervisory management experience in multi-location operations.
- Experience in P&L responsibility including budget overview and cost controls.
- Proficient mechanical aptitude and HVAC experience.
- Superior analytical and planning skills.
- High integrity, self-awareness, and authenticity.
- Excellent communication skills, including ability to communicate complicated financial information.
- Excellent follow-through skills: ability to multitask, establish priorities, and maintain focus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of v-lookups and pivot tables.
- Ability to work with confidential information.
