Responsibilities
- The Director of Service & Installation provides leadership and accountability to the daily service and install operations.
- The Director of Service & Installation advances the HVAC business in the areas of customer development, leadership, sales, products, and operational effectiveness.
- Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement
- Implement business strategies and plans that align with the short- and long-term objectives developed in tandem with CEO
- Monitor performance and take corrective measures when necessary, and prepare detailed updates and forecasts
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Provides strategic advice, manages HVAC division, and implements strategies to support the achievement of the organization's strategic and operational objectives.
- Execute and develop business plans with the expressed objective of building and increasing sales & operational excellence, competitive advantage, brand awareness, customer engagement, market share and profitability.
- Leads effort to identify product opportunities in specific market areas to improve customer experience.
- Develop, implement, and continuously optimize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all HVAC operations, ensuring consistent, efficient, and high-quality service delivery across installation, maintenance, repair and dispatch processes.
- Plans, executes, and monitors departmental and regional performance by tracking financial performance (P&L), operational efficiencies and sales performance using (or developing) metrics (e.g., sales, inventory turns, service level, gross profit, etc.) to drive operational improvements and bottom-line performance.
- KPIs to include the following: callback rate, cost per call, labor utilization rate, installation callbacks rate, sales revenue, lead conversation rate.
- Motivates and mentors' direct reports, fosters and develops leadership talent, and is actively involved with succession planning and talent development.

- Prior Director-level leadership and strategic planning experience
- Supervisory management experience in multi-location operations
- Supervisory management experience with multi-level managers
- Experience in P&L responsibility including budget overview and cost controls
- Proficient mechanical aptitude and HVAC experience
- Superior analytical and planning skills
- Excellent communication skills, including ability to communicate complicated financial information in a simple and accessible manner
- Excellent follow-through skills: ability to multitask, establish and rearrange priorities, and maintain focus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel with working knowledge of v-lookups and pivot tables
- Ability to work with confidential information
