At Tidewater Stadium, we are committed to providing a top-tier matchday experience and a premier venue for sports and entertainment. The Information Technology Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that Tidewater Stadium operates efficiently and remains a state-of-the-art facility.
Position Summary
The On-Site Information Technology Manager is responsible for managing technical IT support at Tidewater Stadium and Rhode Island FC offices. This includes overseeing computer hardware and software maintenance, system documentation, daily problem resolution, and acting as an escalation point for hardware, software, and communication issues. The IT Manager ensures the seamless operation of IT systems to support events, office functions, and overall organizational needs.
Essential Functions
- Manage day-to-day customer support issues, including diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems.
- Accurately document trouble tickets and resolutions within a Service Desk system.
- Implement and enforce IT standard practices at the local site.
- Serve as the on-site escalation point for emergency or last-minute technology-related issues.
- Provide dedicated IT support for all events held at Tidewater Stadium.
- Oversee and manage daily IT operations.
- Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures.
- Validate user requests for hardware and software to ensure proper allocation.
- Collaborate on special projects as needed.
- Track and manage IT assets.
- Manage desktop virus control and cybersecurity measures.
- Support project and operational requirements, evaluating technical feasibility and alternatives.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Maintain and update Tidewater Stadium's IT Policies and Procedures Manual.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Customer Support Management.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in desktop upgrades, hardware, and software maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of Windows XP, Windows 7, and MS Office Suite, with a focus on Outlook.
- Experience with Citrix-based applications.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols, DNS, and DHCP.
- Experience working with HP and Dell desktops and laptops.
- Knowledge of Ticketmaster, Archtics, and Goldmine is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to create clear and comprehensive documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience managing antivirus software (SEP 11 preferred).
Education & Certifications
- B.S. in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
- A Certification, MCP (Windows XP/7 Server 2003/2008), or MCSE preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years in a technical role supporting users in a Microsoft environment.
- Minimum of 10 years in a technical role with experience in network and server protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Minimum of 10 years working with business applications, including reporting, user documentation, and specifications.
Work Schedule
This position will require evening, weekend, and holiday hours based on the needs of the stadium and Rhode Island FC events.
