Rhode Island Labor & Industry Healthcare Workforce Center

· Executive Director (ED) will report to the Executive Committee of the Board and its consulting staff
· ED will execute strategic priorities as established by the Board. These include but are not limited to:
o ED will plan and execute the expectations and deliverables as enumerated in DLT Grant: Award Contract for Approved Workforce Solution, effective February 24, 2025.
o ED will identify strategies to begin systematic approach to attract people to the healthcare industry including middle and high school students, general workforce, and under-served communities (criminal justice, unemployed, disabilities, people in poverty)
o ED will identify components of a program to assist potential healthcare workers in navigating the healthcare education system and financing, including scholarships, grants, subsidies and targeted programs, financial aid, loans, loan repayment, stipends, employer support, etc.
o ED will identify the capability for the Center needed to coordinate educational/training resources including educational partners, instructors, space, technology, materials
o ED will suggest metrics to advance evidence-based success of the work of the Center
o ED will develop workforce forecasting capacity for the Center
o ED will develop apprenticeship programs in conjunction with needs as established by the Board
· Demonstrated practical experience and success in workforce planning and development
· Knowledge of existing structures and funding mechanisms for workforce planning and development
· Experience in effective and collaborative communication with organizations and organizational leadership
· $90-130,000/annual benefits. Salary commensurate with experience
· Work location will be remote/hybrid as directed by the Executive Committee of the Board
