RIB North America has a Systems Administrator – IT & Cybersecurity position at the Atlanta/Alpharetta office. The successful candidate will work across the global organization to drive, plan, and carry out security measures to protect our on-premises and cloud-based environments, networks, systems, or technology assets, will work as part of the Information Technology group as a business and productivity enabler, and will be a key part of the company’s growth.
Job Responsibilities:
Act as software/hardware support to the company, providing technical assistance to staff. Respond to requests for service and determine the nature and extent of support needed.
Provide infrastructure support which includes installing networked application software, managing users and groups, managing shared resources, assigning application access, ensuring security and configurations are within applicable policy, installing peripherals, configuring networks for security including configuring firewalls.
Maintain a superior level of knowledge of systems and software tools and applications being used by the IT and Cybersecurity group to provide high levels of service.
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of equipment and software used throughout the company, coordinating assistance from third parties or suppliers when necessary. Assist in gathering bid prices on equipment and supplies as needed. Assist in negotiating site licenses and coordinating volume purchase arrangements.
Ensure that backup, recovery, and security procedures are set up and performed as planned and necessary according to business continuity and disaster recovery procedures.
Maintain technical documentation of systems and networks, asset management system, and inventory of all hardware. Handle all disposals.
Maintain baseline system security according to organizational policies.
Collect and analyze intrusion detection system alerts, firewall and network traffic logs, or host system logs to evaluate whether unauthorized access or information exfiltration occurred
Identify and remediate security gaps, develop security guidelines and security best practices for RIB, and maintain the security documentation.
Carry out other such duties as may be assigned or requested.
Qualification & Experience
Bachelor or above degree in computer science, information security, or related major.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Systems Administration or Information Security.
Candidates must be local to the Atlanta market and work a hybrid schedule of home and in-office. Our office is located in Alpharetta, Georgia.
Familiar with Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory, Office 365 Administration a plus.
Proficient and experienced with application performance monitoring, optimization, and maintenance.
Software provisioning and management, including perpetual, SaaS, and volume licensing
Experience with servers and desktops, VLANs, VPN, wireless, bandwidth management, Information Security in a corporate environment.
Experience with hardware and software troubleshooting.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Security , etc. are preferred
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills to develop a rapport with colleagues in roles ranging from managers, professional consultants, or developers, to third party contractors, ecosystem partners, or government officials.
Strong organizational skills are necessary for this fast-paced, high-visibility position
