Solar Roof Lead

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Roof Lead to oversee and coordinate our team on various projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality. As a Roof Leader, you will be responsible for guiding your team in the installation and maintenance of solar and electrical systems, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of installers and technicians in the execution of solar and electrical projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies on job sites.
• Coordinate daily tasks, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for installation and repair tasks.
• Interpret schematics and technical drawings to guide installation processes.
• Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members on best practices in solar and electrical work.
• Troubleshoot solar system and electrical issues using digital voltmeters and other diagnostic tools.
• Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, AHJ forms and any incidents that occur.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an a solar crew lead or in a similar role within the construction or electrical industry.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and equipment relevant to electrical work.
• Familiarity with low voltage and high voltage systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with different energy and solar inverter manufactures ( Enphase, SolarEdge, Tesla, ect)
• Experience with PV installations / residential roof mount systems
• Experience with PV installations / residential ground mount systems is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively lead a team and interact with clients.
• Certification or relevant training in commercial electrical work is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
