Summary
We are seeking a Material Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Riccelli-Northern. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing inventory management and ensuring efficient supply chain operations. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining our reputation for premium products and quality service.
Position Summary: The Material Coordinator will play an integral part in the daily operations of the supply chain for both Riccelli’s Ready-Mix and Asphalt Divisions. They will be responsible for the majority of procurement, inventory management, data analysis, planning, and sourcing of materials, fulfilling internal orders, minimizing inventory loss, and effectively communicating with the internal and external stakeholders and department managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Submits and tracks purchase orders with multiple vendors for parts inventory.
- Works with vendors to obtain best pricing on parts and supplies.
- Looks for new suppliers offering higher quality products.
- Resolves parts shipment and purchase order issues.
- Confirms receipt of orders & manages inventory on site
- Conducts regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
- Approves and submits invoices to the accounting department.
- Adheres to company work safety policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This role has no supervisory responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Associates degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (bachelor’s degree preferred) – with at least Five (5) years of buying, purchasing, or inventory management experience.
- High School degree or higher with at least Ten (10) years of buying, purchasing or inventory management experience in the construction industry.
- Valid NYS drivers’ license, as they may be required to travel to visit vendors or different company locations.
- Regular attendance is required.
- Prior related experience in inventory, purchasing, sales, internal and external customer service is preferred.
- Proficient Computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ERP Systems etc.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to work well with others in a demanding environment.
- Must be highly motivated, goal orientated and a self-starter with a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to perform job functions in a safe and responsible manner.
- Must be able to lift and or carry single items weighing 75 pounds or more as well as functions/activities such as pushing, pulling, bending, standing, lifting, reaching, etc.

- This role is performed in both an office, and warehouse environment. However may have to travel to job sites, vendor locations etc.
- Must have the ability to operate standard office equipment, including but not limited to computers, keyboards, and printers.
- Must be able to lift or move up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to perform repetitive motions, with substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Required to have close visual acuity to perform job duties.
- Employees must also be able to walk distances.
