Develop a comprehensive sales strategy targeting light, small, and artisan manufacturing businesses for commercial property/casualty (P/C) insurance.
Create a new program from scratch covering risk management, claims, underwriting, and actuarial support.
Partner with Farm Bureau agents to grow and retain profitable manufacturing accounts.
Build and maintain training modules, sales content, and reference materials tailored to manufacturing clients.
Conduct competitive analysis of insurance forms and pricing structures, leveraging broker and carrier insights to strengthen market positioning.
Responsibilities
- Serve as SME (Subject Matter Expert) for insurance in the light manufacturing sector.
- Develop agent relationships to boost marketing and drive submissions from manufacturing clients.
- Evaluate submissions, conduct risk assessments, and collaborate with agents for information gathering and quoting.
- Assist agents in identifying coverage gaps and recommend appropriate Farm Bureau products.
- Advocate for cross-sell opportunities and risk management services, enhancing customer solutions and generating referrals.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Insurance, or Finance.
- 5–8 years experience in commercial insurance sales or underwriting.
- Direct experience with light manufacturing accounts.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred
Professional designations like CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) or CRM (Certified Risk Manager).
