Aventon, a leading player in the electric bicycle and retail industry, is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources/People Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources management, organizational development, employee relations, and talent acquisition. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in operations or finance. The successful candidate should be an out-of-the-box thinker, eager to adapt to changes, and capable of implementing HR strategies and initiatives that support the company's overall business objectives and promote a positive work environment.
\n- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the company's overall business goals and objectives.
- Manage the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, and employee retention.
- Oversee the performance management process, ensuring timely performance evaluations, feedback, and development opportunities for all employees.
- Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and support career growth.
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting and upholding the company's culture, values, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Oversee employee relations, addressing issues, grievances, and conflicts promptly and effectively, while ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Manage and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop workforce planning and succession strategies to ensure a continuous pipeline of talent.
- Monitor and analyze HR metrics, such as employee engagement, turnover, and productivity, to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate action plans.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Oversee legal operations, including compliance, risk management, and regulatory adherence to ensure the organization meets all legal and industry requirements.
- Manage insurance claims, including general liability, and employment-related claims, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation of risks.
- Oversee a paralegal, providing guidance and support in legal research, contract management, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with operations and finance teams to optimize HR and legal processes, contributing to overall organizational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in human resources management, preferably in the electric bicycle or retail industry.
- Experience in operations or finance is a plus.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful HR strategies and initiatives.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, and organizational development.
- Proficiency in HR management software, such as HRIS or HRMS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Out-of-the-box thinker, eager to adapt to changes and drive innovation within the organization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
