The Marketing & Communications Manager will oversee the strategic planning and implementation of the company’s marketing initiatives and manage internal communications within the organization. This role is crucial in enhancing brand visibility and executing marketing and communication strategies to attract and retain top talent. You will be instrumental in strengthening the Rifenburg brand, enhancing internal and external communication, developing internal growth opportunities, and fostering employee engagement.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and execute strategic marketing plans for Rifenburg in order to attract & retain employees.
- Work to create and develop employer brand internally and externally, safeguarding brand reputation.
- Create and deliver marketing-related materials and communications including but not limited to posters, flyers, ads, case studies, emails and social media posts for Safety, HR, Field and related event specific campaigns.
- Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure that internal communications are timely and relevant.
- Orders and maintains inventory of all promotional items; distributes as necessary.
- Maintain all branded letterheads, business cards, envelopes and templates
- Manage requests and develop budgets for sponsorships, charitable donations, logos, ads, and brand marketing.
- Source, develop and maintain creative content for internal newsletters, social media accounts, videos, and website; increasing employer brand awareness.
- Capture project and corporate event content (photo and videos) to curate into compelling social media and website content; travels to jobsites and off-site events.
- Collaborate with Divisions to implement internal communications specific to their business needs.
- Maintain the company’s internal communication tools, ensuring they are up-to-date, user-friendly, and aligned with the company’s goals and values.
- Monitor media sources for pertinent information related to specific projects.
- Draft press releases and coordinate interviews, press conferences, and media appearances.
- Source and evaluate PR opportunities that align with organizations goals and objectives.
- Maintain an understanding of industry trends.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures relating to marketing.
- Collaborate in the planning, coordination, and execution of an internal employee award/recognition program including nominations, submissions, and winners.
- Identify opportunities to promote employee engagement and help foster a positive company culture.
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of corporate events, fundraising and other initiatives to promote employee engagement.
- Create and Maintain employee resumes needed for project submissions, facilitates updates annually
- Create and maintain Technical Project Case Studies.
- Coordinate attendees for company-sponsored events.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications and make recommendations for improvement based on feedback and data analysis.
Experience & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Graphic Design, Journalism, Photography, or similar; 5-10 years’ experience in marketing, construction, or communications
- Experience utilizing and creating professional content on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Canva, Adobe and Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse set of stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in teams.
- Strong work ethic and passion for the Construction Industry.
- Project management coordination experience; driven by successful project execution & completion.
