Office Coordinator – Custom Metal Fabrication Shop
Our decorative metal fabrication shop is looking for a part-time Office Coordinator to manage project scheduling and tracking, supply ordering, client communications, and lightweight social media. This role offers the potential to grow into a full-time position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee project scheduling across multiple active jobs—each with variable durations, shifting deadlines, and task dependencies—while coordinating with our internal team and communicating with clients daily to keep everything aligned and on track.
- Manage material and supply ordering to support fabrication and installation timelines. Maintain positive relationships with key vendors and partners.
- Use construction project software to track project progress and maintain clear documentation of job details and daily tasks and changes.
- Assign daily tasks to internal team members and track progress against deadlines.
- Define and improve project management processes and procedures to achieve greater efficiency and efficacy, including optimizing our use of tools & applications, and creating and maintaining project templates and process documentation.
- Assist with social media to showcase ongoing and completed work including taking pictures and videos of projects, adding compelling commentary, and uploading to relevant social media.
- Contribute to CAD drawings; if skilled and/or interested.
Qualities of the Ideal Candidate:
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a passion for getting things done efficiently and correctly
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; not easily overwhelmed
- Proactive problem-solver requiring minimal oversight once job responsibilities are learned
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and written, in technical and professional correspondence
- Personable yet firm, with a willingness to greet and collaborate with vendors and clients while establishing necessary expectations and enforcing joint accountability
- Experience in project management tools and applications
- Familiarity with tools specialized for the construction industry (preferred but not required)
- Knowledge of construction or fabrication industry norms and typical processes (preferred but not required)
Position Details:
- Part-time (with potential to move full-time)
- Work Location: On-site at our shop in Nampa, with the possibility of hybrid/remote work later
- Pay: $30 and up
- Start Date: Immediate
