Prominent San Francisco based law advocating for cities counties and other local public agencies and nonprofits, is seeking a mid-level litigation associate to join their team. This is a full-time hybrid role for an employment litigation attorney. Most of the litigation involves defending cities, counties and special districts. The Associate will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting briefs meeting with clients, appearing
in court, and generally working with the legal team to support public sector clients. The role is located in the San Francisco Bay Area, but partial remote work is acceptable.
Ideal candidate will have at least two years of litigation experience, but the firm would be interested in more experienced practitioners as well.
Qualifications :
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a legal team
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders
- Knowledge of and interest in employment law, labor law, local government and public law desirable
- J.D. degree and the ability to practice law in California
