General Summary:
The Retail Manager reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for managing and holding the company’s retail team accountable for policy and procedure. This position leads, implements and continuously improves all accuracy, training, and execution of the front of house team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Executes the mission, vision, values of Ritual Dispensary.
· Overseeing the Patient Consultant team in all daily operations of the business.
· Displays strong attention to detail, organizational skills and time management abilities.
· Assist the Operations Manager with issues relating to the property.
· Hire, develop and train retail employees.
· Provide direction and coaching to all employees to ensure an outstanding patient experience for all patients.
· Lead the development of employee education in store and partner with education team to ensure all staff members have gone through educational training.
· Ensure the Weekly HIT is updated and there is daily communication around store objectives and initiatives with the staff prior to the start of each shift.
· Create weekly schedule for the retail team and monthly schedule for the retail leadership team.
· Schedule retail leadership meetings every other week.
· Coordinate weekly 1:1’s with all direct reports.
· Oversee timecards and approve payroll daily.
· Assist Operations Manager with any compliance inspections as needed.
· Motivating employees to achieve sales targets.
· Write and deliver retail employee reviews.
· Coordinate employee staff meetings on a quarterly basis.
· Execute or assist with dispensary operations and opening and closing procedures during hours of operation.
· Adhere to all company-wide policies, process, procedures, and requirements.
· Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment.
· Maintain a culture of high-quality customer service and communication.
· Assist Operations Manager with facility maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary including phone, utilities, technology, maintenance, repairs, stock and supplies.
· Notify team about any customer or product concerns/complaints
· Comply with all HR policies, including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
· Daily compliance with dispensary policies, including but not limited to the following: state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, inventory tracking, dress code, and work schedules.
· All other duties as assigned by ownership.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required.
· Minimum 3 years customer service/retail management/hospitality or restaurant management experience.
· Proven track record of managing 10 employees.
· General knowledge of computers, software, and ability to work accurately with numbers.
· Must have a passion for learning, problem solving, and inventory control.
· Must be able to communicate appropriately with all departments, team members, and different personalities.
· Able to work with fluctuating schedules to meet company needs and standards.
· Desire to learn and accept changes with ease.
· Motivation to help growth within the department and outside of the department.
· Knowledge of companywide and departmental policies.
· Must be detail oriented.
· Willing to step in when understaffed.
· Ability to handle sensitive situations appropriately and in a timely manner.
· Communicate efficiently with other departments regarding inventory discrepancies.
· Knowledge of local and state laws and regulations pertaining to medical and/or retail marijuana is a plus.
· Must successfully pass an extensive background check.
· Must have reliable transportation.
· Working knowledge of medical and/or retail cannabis industry.
· Working knowledge of a cannabis point of sale system.
· Excellent computer and data analytical skills.
· Reporting and Information Management: must have proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with process management, team problem solving, and inventory control.
· Minimum 1 year of Dispensary experience preferred.
· Ability to work nights, holidays and weekends.
Physical Requirements
· Extensive and repeated reaching above/below shoulder height.
· Extensive computer use.
· Ability to stand, sit, squat, climb, push, pull, lift, twist, stretch, or carry products throughout shifts.
· Use of ladders and stools to reach products and supplies.
· Handling heavy product with team assistance if over weight limit of 40lbs.
· Ability to write neatly and legibly.
· Handle effective and waste products.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
