River Valley Counseling Center, Inc. (RVCC) is seeking a Doctorate Level Clinician to join our team.
Position Overview:
This role requires a skilled and compassionate clinician who can provide psychological assessments, conduct clinical interviews, and deliver high-quality care in a collaborative environment. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for performing various duties while ensuring confidentiality, safety, and adherence to RVCC's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in regular individual supervision for psychological assessments.
Conduct clinical interviews to gather essential background information.
Collaborate with the supervisor to determine appropriate assessments for cases.
Schedule clients and administer appropriate assessment batteries.
Score psychological assessments using scoring manuals, computerized programs, or other resources.
Write and submit assessment reports within 30 days and respond to feedback in a timely manner.
Provide clients with copies of their assessment reports and schedule feedback sessions.
Communicate with professionals and administrative staff to improve workflow and ensure efficiency.
Stay up to date with ongoing education regarding psychological assessments and the assessment process.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
Minimum/Required Qualifications:
Education:
Doctorate in Psychology is required.
Experience:
At least two years of experience as a clinician with a strong background in child or adolescent work.
Minimum of one year of experience in psychological assessment.
Experience with ADOS and/or ADIR is preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred, but not required.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to perform crisis intervention when necessary.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and crisis intervention skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Proficient in computer skills and good customer relations abilities.
Knowledge of legal and ethical issues pertaining to the profession.
